DLA merger vote upcoming

Hey kids, tomorrow's the big day! No, not St. Nicholas Eve: the DLA/Piper Rudnick merger vote! Of course, the vote's shaping up to be a mere formality, which means that DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary will come into existence as the new year dawns. DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary... what are the odds that those last three names are going to get hacked off eventually? They should have gone with our suggestion: D'Piper G.

Anyway, if the vote goes through... and we can't stress enough that it's going to go through... D'Piper G would be 3100-attorney strong, and with £600,000,000 in turnover. (In American dollars, that's $1,165,323,761, which is a more impressive-looking number. In Canadian, it's $1,392,980,253, which is even more impressive-looking. In euros, it's only €867,119,843, but if the Italian lira still existed, it would be ₤2,523,069,930,341.)
